How this works. Nothing here is written yet — this is the raw material, quoted exactly from the sources, with every citation intact. Mark Keep for anything you want available when the articles get drafted, Maybe for anything worth a second look, and Cut for anything you have ruled out. One thing to watch as you read. Passages marked verify come from automated transcripts with a known defect — a garbled clause, a mishearing, in six cases a dropped negative that reverses the sense. Keep them if you want the substance, but the wording has to be checked against audio before it goes to print under anyone’s name.
Everything is here, including the ugly. Nothing has been withheld or hidden behind a filter. That includes the Victorian material on women, the harsher passages on sexuality, and the entries I would not put in a booklet myself — some of which are useful precisely as a foil, quoted to be answered. Where a passage came out of a section I had flagged in review, the line under it names that section, so you can see what I thought and disagree with it.
